Navigating through Stress
The last few days have been a whirlwind of stress. Amidst the turmoil, I felt the need to connect with my inner self. This led me to write down some thoughts, reflections that I hope may also serve to inspire anyone who needs them.
The world we inhabit is brimming with noise. From every corner, someone or something jostles for our attention. But to truly bring something authentic to the world, we first step away from these external forces. Puzzling as it may sound, this process forms the bedrock of healing.
In this fast-paced, chaotic realm, it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle. But there’s an antidote to this external clamor, and it lies within us. This antidote is the power of awareness, the ability to feel, to tune into our emotions, and to identify what’s triggering our distress.
To promote healing, we allow ourselves to feel everything deeply. Embrace the full spectrum of emotions, whether they’re pleasant or painful. It’s through this unfiltered encounter with our emotions that we start to comprehend what truly affects us. And what is ours and what has never been ours.
Think of stress like a tightly sealed carbonated drink. Sometimes, we fizz up, ready to explode as we release the pent-up pressure within us. While societal norms may frown upon such outbursts, it can be the healthiest release for our personal wellbeing. After all, even the fizziest soda needs to let off steam once in a while.
And in the midst of the tumult, we take a moment to pause, to listen to the soft whispers of our inner self. This inner voice often gets drowned in the daily hustle, but it’s the one that holds the keys to our healing and growth.
Listening to Our Stress
Donald Tubesing reminds us, “Stress is like spice—in the right proportion it enhances the flavor of a dish. Too little produces a bland, dull meal; too much may choke you.”
The process of healing and creation begins with the courage to disconnect from the external noise. It entails a journey inward, a deep dive into our consciousness. This journey involves a deliberate decision to listen to ourselves, to recognize and validate our feelings.
As we start to listen, we gradually understand our triggers. We identify the sources of distress and learn how to flow. This awareness, combined with the willingness to confront our emotions, sparks a transformative healing process.
Every journey towards healing begins with the understanding of our emotional landscape. Those who dare to feel, to listen, and to confront our emotions are the ones who reach true healing.
So, in these times of high stress and external noise, let’s remind ourselves of the power within. Let’s dare to feel, to be aware, to let go and to heal. Our inner voice is the melody that can counterbalance the world’s insanity and even our own conditioning. By listening to our hearts, we foster healing, embrace originality, and contribute something meaningful to ourselves and our world.
Not everything is at it seems.
