What do you think of people before you really know them?
It’s so easy to say, “I don’t like him or her”.
I’ve done it forever.
Never giving someone a first chance.
Now, one of my favorite things to do is force myself to listen.
To THEM
The ones I am on the fence with,
Preconceived options.
Furled brows.
Daily, I’m out the door with a podcast ...
… and of course, my two shepherds are in tow for a long walk.
To open my mind.
And you know what?
9 times out of 10 I have a new “friend”
Someone I admire.
Or even more so, understand.
