Being a lifelong seamstress I have a thing for buttons. I remember growing up with jars full of a mixture of buttons; some vintage, many leftover from a sewing project and a few with a story. It was always a treat when my mom would let me select buttons to use for a craft project and one of my favorite things to do was make pretty cards and tags by gluing buttons onto the paper. Bringing that memory back to life, I tasked our team member Jessica (who also grew up with large jars of buttons) to make a set of button gift tags while I was on a business trip last week. Needless to say. . . I was delighted at the results. These gift tags made from buttons and little cut felt pieces are just delightful! She used a tag punch to make custom colored tags and added the details to the punched metallic paper. This is such a fun inspiration as a project you can make with your kids. You can pre-cut the felt pieces and let them create their own mini art pieces. Enjoy! ~ Lia
