I grew up in small town of Nichols, SC, about an hour from Myrtle Beach. I spent many days riding bikes or fishing with my dad in the rivers and ponds in the area (hence the name Riverbend). My dad would watch the stock market when he came home from work. I was curious and started asking questions. This inspired me to make my first investment before I was 12 years old. I went the College of Charleston, where I focused my studies in biology, chemistry, and business. After graduating in 1996, I was fortunate to be hired as a financial advisor. Learn more here.
